Coaching and therapy: the differences

I find it important for you to know the distinction between the two and for you to know what to expect. They complement, not exclude each other.

We will walk on this path shoulder to shoulder as equal partners

There is no silver bullet to solve all our issues. I do not have all the answers and there is not a standard set of questions that I will ask you, my client, which will make you suddenly know your path. The coaching requires work from the coachee.

I am here to walk the path with you and to ask questions that will help you see outside of the boundaries you created for yourself. Being brave enough to change the patterns is your part of the deal.

For whom may feel stuck in endless ruminating: there are always ways to move forward. You have the option to decide for yourself if to deal with the issues, you can decide to park them for a while or anything in between. You have the power to decide! And a coach can guide you to find, in yourself, the best path for you in a particular moment in your life.

The first conversation is about chemistry
We will have a 30 minutes conversation, no costs, no obligations. I will tell you how I work, you will tell me your expectations. Coaching is like a dance: both parties need to feel the vibe of a good match. If it feels right for both of us, we will decide on the next steps. From my side, I commit to let you know if I feel a different approach and a different person than me may be more suitable for you.

Sessions of 60 minutes, online
If there is a match, we will have sessions of 60 minutes online. We agree on the frequency together — not too far away to forget about the learnings, not too short to not have time to reflect on them. You will receive an email with a Zoom link.

A pack of 5 sessions
I work with packs of 5 sessions. One session will leave you with much more questions than answers — fact, checked by me as a coach and as a client of coaches. During multiple sessions there will be time to dig deeper and to discover.

We will start each session pack with defining what you would like to achieve by the end of the sessions. Your initial intentions may change on the way — it is perfectly normal. The discoveries will come from the journey itself, your true destination may reveal later on.

We will end with a half an hour evaluation at the end of the last session: where we started, how the sessions helped you get closer to your goal.

Sessions are your space to explore
You set the agenda. I will check with you during the session how we stand versus your topic for discussion. Depending on your availability, we will agree if and what could be topics for you to deep dive in between sessions.
