I had a coaching session today with the amazing Paula Gabrian. Like many times before, she guided me to insights I did not even think about at the beginning of our session.
My biggest takeaway: I can give myself permission to choose what to spend my energy on.
I know about my impostor syndrome. About my internal saboteurs. About "who am I to say that" and "I am not good enough." I can choose to ruminate on them for ages.
I can consciously allow myself to put all these negative thoughts in a box, move them out of my way, and focus on what I want to do next.
The negative thoughts will not disappear. And for sure I will come back and deal with them again at another moment in my life. But for now, I choose to move forward and follow my dream — coaching.
For whoever feels stuck in endless ruminating: there are ways to move forward. You can decide to deal with the issues, you can decide to park them for a while — or anything in between. You have the power to decide.
A coach can guide you to find, in yourself, the best path for you in a particular moment in your life.
Find a coach you trust and feel connected to. Give coaching a try and immerse yourself in the experience. The more open you are towards yourself, the more Aha moments you will have.
That loop can be interrupted.
